Terms & Conditions

  1. The client agrees that in admitting their dog to Sociable Hounds, Sociable Hounds has relied on the client’s representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or showed aggressive behaviour towards any person or other dog. Any behaviour deemed dangerous or inappropriate may result in the withdrawal of Sociable Hounds’ services.

  2. All dogs will be subject to an initial assessment by Sociable Hounds staff prior to using Sociable Hounds. Sociable Hounds reserves the right to refuse their services to any dog.

  3. The client agrees to notify Sociable Hounds of any aggressive or dangerous behaviour demonstrated by their dog that has potential to cause harm to any other dog or individual.

  4. The client understands that Sociable Hounds provides an environment where dogs mix together in groups and the client accepts that during the course of normal play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is supervised and carefully monitored, however, at times injury will be unavoidable. Sociable Hounds will not be held liable for injuries sustained to any dog whilst under their care.

  5. The client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of Sociable Hounds. The client authorises Sociable Hounds to seek veterinary advice and/or treatment when they deem necessary. Where possible this will be carried out by the client’s usual vet, but if necessary, it will be any registered vet. Sociable Hounds will always attempt to call the emergency contact before taking their dog to the vet.

  6. All dogs must be fully vaccinated (including kennel cough) prior to starting at Sociable Hounds. A copy of the client’s dog’s vaccination certificate must be shown before their first walk, with up to date treatment. All dogs must be in good health and have not been ill with any contagious disease or condition within the last 30 days.

  7. The client understands that even though their dog is vaccinated against Kennel Cough there is a chance that their dog can still contract it. The client agrees they will notify Sociable Hounds if they believe their dog has Kennel Cough and that they will not hold Sociable Hounds responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending.

  8. Bitches may not attend Sociable Hounds whilst in season or pregnant. Sociable Hounds will not be held responsible for a bitch becoming pregnant while in their care.

  9. All dogs must wear a collar or harness, fitting tight enough that it will not slip over their head. A tag with the owner’s telephone number must be attached to the collar. Whilst the client’s dog is in the care of Sociable Hounds, a tag with the details of Sociable Hounds will also be attached.

  10. In case of emergency or for use of the pick up/drop off services, the client gives permission for their dog to be transported in a company vehicle. Sociable Hounds does not accept any liability for any accident or injury incurred during transportation.

  11. If providing Sociable Hounds with a house key, the client agrees that Sociable Hounds will not be liable to the client for any loss or damage to their property or its contents arising from the provision of a house key.

  12. Clients will be invoiced at the end of every month. All fees must be paid within 7 days from the invoice date.

  13. All cancellations must be made to Sociable Hounds at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled walk. If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled walk, the full amount may be payable by the client to Sociable Hounds.

  14. Sociable Hounds maintains the right to refuse admittance of a dog for whatever reason.
